It's easy to imagine thick and cozy sweaters when we think knitwear, but Kordal is redefining that with their take on comfort and the modern woman. Kordal's winter gear is super cozy, but with flattering cuts and buttery soft, luxuriously heavy textures that no one could ever call itchy. Kordal's spring and summer pieces are comfortable in a different way - think breezy and easy to wear but still polished and put together. I reach for my Kordal items (in all seasons) when I don't feel like getting dressed but I want to look like I'm trying. Whether it's a sweater, a jumper, a crop top or a skirt, Kordal Knitwear looks and feels laid back, sexy, and stylish.
Vibe: Modern, Artistic, Laid-back
Customer age: 25-35
Price range: $200 - $400
Sustainability practices: Kordal uses only natural fibers including wool ranched in the USA, European dyed cotton that was grown on fair-wage farms in India, and Oeko-Tex certified alpaca from Peru. Kordal reuses as much yarn as possible in new, innovative styles and knits many of their pieces on 3D-knitting or handloom knitting machines which produce zero material waste. All garments are made with quality and timeless style in mind so that they will have a longer life in your closet.
Ethical practices: All of Kordal's woven pieces are produced in Brooklyn at the Brooklyn Fashion + Design Accelerator, where most of their knit pieces are produced as well (on the 3D knitting machines). All alpaca pieces are produced in a women-owned, fair-labor factory in Peru.
